Ministry Teams
Because the church has many different functions, we have divided the many ministries of TCC into teams that function under the supervision of the Elders of our church.
Each team is responsible for understanding the mission and vision of the church (as set by the Elders and ministerial staff), budgeting, building plans for their team, executing programs, and generally overseeing the ministry for which they are accountable.

Future Facility and Site Planning Ministry TeamResponsible for the ongoing and continuous evaluation of potential building expansion opportunities for TCC. The FF&SP team doesn’t regularly meet but, at the direction of the Elders, will engage in reviewing opportunities, formulating plans, and recommending action to the Elders. Examples of activities that this team is involved in are: Engaging those that are selling property for potential purchase by the church, working with architects on building plans, conducting Requests for Proposals with potential builders and contractors, and overseeing the procurement of deeds and building of new facilities. As the church continues to grow, the FF&SP team is instrumental in the outreach of ministry within the community and surrounding areas. |

Grounds Ministry TeamResponsible for upkeep and maintenance of the landscape, lawns, and walking areas of the church property. Essential functions include mowing, snow and ice removal prior to church events, litter removal, and overall beautification of the church property. One of the first impressions that any visitor to TCC has is of the church building and adjacent areas. We want our property to be inviting and safe for regular members and visitors to our church. The Grounds Ministry Team provides a priceless service to the ministry of our church. |

Involvement Ministry TeamResponsible for the involvement of the church members in service, fellowship, and application of spiritual gifts to the ministry of TCC. We believe that Scripture is clear when it relates the church to a “body”. Some of us are “hands”, the workers, while others are the “mouth” who teach and edify other believers with Scriptural truths. Still others act as the “feet” who take the Word and evangelize it to the community and the World. Using the metaphor of the “body”, each of us have an opportunity to apply our spiritual gifts for the continued outreach of Christ at TCC. Without one part of the body functioning, the body is limited in its capacity to be as effective as possible. This is also true for the church. We need each and every member to be engaged in some aspect of ministry for the church to realize its true potential. |

Member Life Ministry TeamResponsible for a variety of ministries in the church which includes: Card Ministry, Decoration of the building at various holidays, ministering to those that are shut-in or experiencing illness, Fellowship programs (like our Thanksgiving dinner or Minister Appreciation events), ministering to those that have just lost a loved one and are going through the pain of grief, providing lodging and food for traveling Christian groups, and our Seniors’ outreach program. |

Missions TeamResponsible for identifying and recommending domestic and foreign missions that TCC should support. Missions that are monetarily supported by TCC are monitored by the Missions Team for effectiveness in their field of ministry and the team corresponds regularly with the missionaries that we support. The Missions team also coordinates special events at the church that relate to Missions like Missions Sunday, special speaking engagements with Missionaries that are on furlough in the U.S., and communicating news from Missions that the church supports. |

This includes the Traditional and Contemporary services as well as jointly assisting the Children’s Ministry for the Children’s Worship each Sunday. The team builds the song lists, worship order, and coordinates volunteers to lead worship each Sunday. In addition, the Worship team will, from time to time, evaluate new worship opportunities and present recommendations to the Elders for review. The Worship team also is responsible for the operation and maintenance of the sound systems in the main sanctuary as well as in the family life center. They conduct regular training sessions for new volunteers to learn how to use the sound systems of the church. |
